If you’re not inspired and motivated by the story of Lexi and Danny, a Indiana couple that lost a combined total of 407 lbs of fat, then what probably will?
At the time of their wedding, Lexi weighed a whopping 485 lbs whilst Danny her husband, came in at 280 pounds.
Just like most of us, this couple spent most of their time couch surfing with little to no physical exercise.
Add to that an extremely busy work schedule for both of them which meant that they almost always ate out.
Now with a global pandemic continuing to wreak havoc on society, this is literally everyone’s nightmare!
Stuck at home, afraid to venture out or engage in any physical activity, where does it all end?!
Need the motivation to lose weight and keep it off?
No matter how bad your situation might be, you too can lose weight, you simply have to find your reason why! Losing weight just because your significant other said so, or because you saw your BFF looking like a 80’s Baywatch model’s not going to cut it.
Your why will determine your success, or failure to lose weight. If you have a compelling and motivating reason, your brain will literally force you to stop that pity binge eating party you’ve been having every Wednesday since the pandemic started, and wake you up early mornings for your workout routine.
You alone can walk that green mile, for yourself, because you’ve reached the point of no return, no one else can do that for you.
Yes, there is an effective Ancient Japanese Tonic supplement that help both men and women burn fat fast, especially if they’ve tried other diets, supplements and workout plans but haven’t gotten any lasting results, but again, you have to want to lose weight so bad it’s like wanting just that one breath of fresh air when you’ve been underwater for a second too long!
..and should you be close to, or around 40 years of age, forget about it, your body adopts a Mr. Bean’esque mind of its own! It’s no laughing matter, but some will be sniggering behind your back like 7 year olds it’s literally not funny!

When you verbally or mentally repeat something positive or otherwsise to yourself, over and over, ultimately becomes your reality over time.
You may not see the results immediately but, just like a mustard seed planted in fertile ground, something big is definitely happening in the ground below (in your subconscious mind) which then becomes your present reality!

How ready are you to losing weight?
At 40, losing weight becomes harder because your metabolic system slows down, making it hard to lose all the calories from the body! You literally have to keep up with your chihuahua to get that old heart pumping some whilst getting winded in the process!
Don’t get me started on an underactive thyroid, which means more medication your body’s literally drunk by the time menopause hits!
I’m not writing this to discourage you, but to enlighten you on the challenges ahead! My mom had a body to mass index of 30 when a massive heart attack hit! Everyone saw it coming, but noone was prepared when it did!
I miss her dearly, I wish she could see the woman I’ve become, but that’s a topic for another day!
Thing is, you’re reading for a reason, and you’re also alive for a reason! Your life purpose is not begun, you may not realize that yet, but the fact that you’re still alive means you still have work to do! No, not your 9 to 5 over zoom, but life where you impact someone’s path they literally name their first born after you!
Let’s start with some basic brisk walking exercise in the park. You’ll be amazed by how many calories you burn per walk! Ease up on the booze, soda and fatty foods! They may be tasty and cheap, but the hospital bill is always bitter and spicy!
The beauty about Lexi and Danny’s motivation was that they simply grew tired of their sedentary lifestyle and, by starting an instagram account to document their progress, they literally told the entire internet they were crossing the rubicon!
Now, that’s motivation!.
Lexi initially took on a 30-day health challenge that a friend had suggested and, when she made it to the final day, the momentum, and the realization that she could actually do this, just kept her going.
Her aha moment came when she felt that difference between herself 30 days ago, and the new her 30 days later! It was a euphoric rush, that realization that she’d stumbled onto something more sweeter than soda pops or fast food!
It’s insane to me that I can look down and see my feet or feel [my] hip bones for the first time in my life,” Lexi says about her results. It was never about having a flat tummy, but to be healthy and out of pain.
What will YOU give up to lose weight this coming year?
In total, Lexi lost 312 pounds by eating more protein and veggies, and fewer carbs (along with lots of strength training and cardio).
Did you know that walking up a flight of stairs for one hour will burn approximately 1,000 calories?
You have at least 1 hour free each day to attempt that instead of binge watching Gossip girl on TV right?
If there’s anything the internet loves, it’s couch entertainment, so don’t give it that instead!
Never post your goals on the internet unless you intend to go through with them lest your Mom in-law gets wind of them, after which there’ll be no turning back beside forcing yourself to prove her and that submissive husband of hers wrong!
With the global pandemic still in full force, you owe it to yourself to remain healthy, within the safe space that’s your own home, away from distractions and fast foods.
Should you not be affording to get yourself workout equipment etc, there is a wealth of follow-along workout videos on youtube to motivate and inspire you to become your best yet to come!
Remember, less sugar, less sitting on your hiney moping and hoping for a miracle to arrive!
You don’t need a gym or special equipment to start. Walk, walk, walk to get started.
You don’t have to count calories to start, just look at what you’re eating and choose healthier options. Find out what a serving size is of what you want to eat and only have that much. A serving of Doritos is like 11 chips or something. You can only have ONE serving, not the entire bag at one time! Really simple things like this can make a huge difference. Remember, You didn’t gain all your weight in one day – You most certainly won’t lose it in one day, So be patient and kind with yourself!
In the end, you need to be self disciplined and resolute, the end result means you buy yourself some time to enjoy more life in this now, life with loved ones, away from medications, self loathing and pain!
